// Document-to-project AI

TempoDocs

We built the tool that turns a document into a plan, because we were tired of retyping our own.

Upload the SOW, brief, or strategy deck. TempoDocs reads it, extracts the work, and plots it on a timeline your team can actually deliver against.

// The thesis

Why we own TempoDocs.

// Why now

Every real project starts as a document, an SOW, a brief, a strategy deck, and dies in the translation to Asana, Jira, or Monday. We started TempoDocs because language models finally made it possible to move from the document to a working plan in minutes, with citations back to the source, something that simply wasn't reliable three years ago.

// Market

We build for services organizations, agencies, consultancies, and in-house PMOs that live inside SOWs and briefs, especially teams that produce or receive five or more substantive documents a month and lose hours converting each one into tasks, owners, and dates.

// Moat

We built TempoDocs so the document graph and capacity model compound per organization: every parsed doc sharpens extraction and forecast accuracy for that team's vocabulary and delivery patterns. We run the product with a small team, leaning on that same compounding data to prioritize what to build next.

// The product

What it does.

  • Document ingestion for PDFs, contracts, SOWs, briefs, and strategy decks — parses structure and content, not just text.

  • AI extraction of tasks, milestones, goals, and risks, each with a source citation back to the exact paragraph in the original document.

  • Interactive timeline tuned by your team's real capacity — drag to reforecast, and the plan re-balances instead of just sliding dates.

  • Kanban, Gantt, and Calendar views over the same tasks; org → department → division → team roles with granular admin control; goals with automatic roll-up progress from child tasks.

// What we've learned

Lessons from operating TempoDocs.

01

The document is the wedge.

Buyers don't want another PM tool; they want to stop re-typing the SOW. Leading with ingestion, not features, is what turns a demo into a signup on the same call.

02

Capacity is the differentiator.

Generic AI PM tools generate tasks. TempoDocs generates a plan you can staff. The capacity model is what separates a to-do list from a forecast a delivery lead will actually defend.

03

Services orgs adopt fastest.

Agencies, consultancies, and PMOs feel the SOW pain daily and decide in a week. Product teams take a quarter. We build for the customers who pull us in, not the ones who study us.
